Wax tablets were used as high-volume business records believed to be of transient importance up until the 19th century. The earliest known findings of wax tablets came from the 2nd century in a grave believed to belong to one of the earliest known money lenders. Many wax tablets have melted through years of enduring a scorching sun, but a few still remain. Through photographs, text, and book form, the wax tablets and sculptures of 401k Poetry 2016 have begun rapidly decaying alongside social security and retirement funding institutions. Through the book micro images of lush fertile grounds and macro shots of the finely aged 401k poetry wine cross over with writing and text of fictional histories of money lenders, the path of currency, and human attempts at defining value.
